Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors will have an opportunity to learn more about health, prevention and wellness at the Second DGK Health Fair, taking place Saturday, September 26, at Galerías Vallarta.
Organized by Grupo Diagnosti-k Health (DGK), the free event will run from 11:00 am to 8:45 pm and is open to the general public.
The fair will bring together medical professionals, healthcare organizations and community groups offering information, guidance, screenings and activities throughout the day.
A Day Focused on Prevention
The Health Fair is designed to make health information and preventive services more accessible to the community. Attendees can visit participating organizations, ask questions, take part in educational activities and learn about resources available in Puerto Vallarta.
Services and activities will include basic CPR training, health checkups, blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, medical consultations, psychological counseling and nutritional guidance. Visitors can also receive information about insurance, along with access to rapid testing and vaccination services.
Participating exhibitors include Grupo DGK, Medassist Hospital, Hospital Joya Marina, HealthCare Resources, RENUE Medical Centre, SANMARÉ Health-Care Group, Región Sanitaria VIII, CENPROCE, NÜIVARI Pediatric Specialties Center, Renace PV, COMUSIDA Vallarta, UroVallarta Urology Center, Juventudes Vallarta, Hospiten, Vallarta Medical Center, Nurse Care Vallarta, Vallarta Cares, Centro de Integración Juvenil, A.C. Puerto Vallarta, and other healthcare and wellness professionals.
Informative Talks Throughout the Day
The program will also feature a series of informative talks and demonstrations covering a variety of health-related topics. Among the featured speakers and presentations are Dr. Pedro Urzúa, who will discuss medical house calls, while Lic. Josué Hernández Estrada will explain the seven characteristics of healthy foods. Specialists from Grupo Diagnosti-k will address fungi, bacteria and parasites, and paramedics will conduct CPR demonstrations.
Other presentations will include a talk by Dra. Rubí Medina about gynecology and fertility, as well as a presentation by Dr. José Riva Palacio on the use of artificial intelligence in medical imaging. These are just some of the speakers and topics included in the day’s program, with additional presentations scheduled throughout the Health Fair.
With activities scheduled throughout the day, visitors can move between exhibitors, participate in demonstrations and attend presentations that interest them. The event will also include raffles for gifts and health kits, along with additional activities and surprises.
