Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Vallarta Pride 2026 returns to Puerto Vallarta from May 17–24, 2026, inviting residents and visitors to celebrate community, culture, and inclusion during one of Latin America’s most anticipated Pride events. This year’s theme, “A New Era: A Very Mexican Pride” (Un Pride Muy Mexicano), highlights the spirit, traditions, and creativity that make Mexico unique.
Now in its 13th year, Vallarta Pride has grown into one of the leading Pride celebrations in the region, drawing thousands of attendees from around the world. The week-long festival takes place primarily in the city’s celebrated Zona Romántica, where streets come alive with colorful decorations, live entertainment, and welcoming spaces for all.
Puerto Vallarta continues to earn international recognition as a top destination for LGBTQ+ travelers. In fact, the city was recently honored as the Best LGBTQ+ Destination at the 2025 Magellan Awards, further strengthening its reputation as a place where diversity is celebrated year-round.
Throughout the week, attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of activities, including art exhibitions, cultural showcases, concerts, film screenings, and outdoor performances. Many of the largest gatherings and nightlife events will be hosted at popular venues such as Mantamar Beach Club and Almar Resort, both known for hosting unforgettable Pride experiences.

Among the week’s most anticipated highlights is the Pride Pet Parade, set for Monday, May 18 at 6:00 pm in Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas. This sunset dog walk encourages participants to dress their pets in festive Mexican-themed outfits while supporting the important work of Puppy Paradise Dog Shelter.
Another centerpiece of the celebration is the main Vallarta Pride Parade, taking place Thursday, May 21 at 4:00 pm. The colorful procession will begin near the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center and travel through the city before concluding in the heart of the Romantic Zone at One Six One PV Bar. The parade showcases dazzling costumes, lively music, and messages of unity that reflect the pride of participants and spectators alike.
Later that evening, the Pride Block Party returns to Lázaro Cárdenas Street starting at 6:00 pm. This lively street celebration features an outdoor stage with live performances and transforms one of the city’s most popular nightlife areas into a festive gathering space.
The celebration continues with the Pink Dinner & After Party on Wednesday, May 20 at 7:30 pm. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dining experience at Eden Rooftop before continuing the festivities at the after party hosted at One Six One PV Bar.
Adding a dose of humor and creativity, the annual Drag Derby takes place on Friday along Calle Púlpito near Swedes Bar & Bistro. This fan-favorite event transforms the iconic Pinnacle steps into a playful racecourse, and this year’s edition promises spectators a wild time as drag queens in feathers and heels race against the clock and each other. Contestants will take on outrageous challenges while competing for cash prizes and the coveted Ruby Tacón (Red High Heel) Trophy, making it one of the most entertaining spectacles of Pride week.
With its diverse lineup of events, Vallarta Pride continues to celebrate the many elements that have made Puerto Vallarta one of the world’s most welcoming destinations for the LGBTQ+ community. More than just a week of festivities, it represents a shared commitment to inclusion, creativity, and respect for every identity.
