Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta (IAMPV) is proud to announce upcoming concerts by the Puerto Vallarta Symphony Orchestra, (Orquesta Sinfonica Vallarta or OSV), on March 17th and 18th, and a FREE Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra concert on Thursday, March 14.
On March 17th, coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day, the orchestra will il gardellino at the American School in Marina, starting at 7 pm. The following day, March 18th, the performance will be held at Salon Paraiso in Nuevo Vallarta, also starting at 7 pm. Both concerts will feature a selection of Irish tunes, including The Irish Washerwoman, The Minstrel Boy and The Last Rose of Summer. Attendees are encouraged to wear green.
Maestro Aquiles Morales, conductor of the OSV since February 2023, will lead the St. Patrick’s Day performances, which will feature flutist Olga Martinez as the orchestral soloist.
Martinez, with a rich background in music, has been associated with various musical ensembles and orchestras throughout her career. Born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, she has studied under esteemed mentors and performed extensively in Mexico and abroad. Martinez joined the Orquesta Sinfonia Vallarta in 2022 and has since been a valued member of the orchestra.

Additionally, a FREE concert by Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra – Vallarta’s first and only youth jazz big band – is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, from 6:30-8:30 pm at Marina Vallarta Art & Market.
