Puerto Vallarta’s Animal Welfare Department has rescued 146 dogs and cats so far in 2026, including 93 dogs and 53 cats. Of those, 132 have been rehabilitated and placed in homes, reflecting growing involvement in protecting animals and reporting neglect.
Puerto Vallarta’s Salty Paw Jazz Band brought music and connection with CAIAM in Coapinole, where young musicians performed a free concert and encouraged seniors to sing, play percussion, and join the fun! The popular performance led to an invitation to return.
