September can be a strange month in Puerto Vallarta. The summer crowds have thinned, the heat and humidity are still very much with us, school’s back in session so traffic picks up, and it can be tempting to spend the month hiding indoors with the air conditioning on. But there’s still plenty happening around town.
Puerto Vallarta’s Municipal Government has delivered 5 new pickup truck patrol vehicles, along with uniforms & equipment for police officers. The additions are intended to strengthen preventive patrols and improve the force’s ability to respond across the city.
As the 2026-2027 school year begins, Puerto Vallarta is easing financial pressure on local families. Mayor Luis Munguía’s administration is delivering free uniforms, shoes, and backpacks to over 26,000 students while offering complimentary medical care.
Puerto Vallarta will welcome “Michael is Back,” a bilingual Michael Jackson tribute presented by Mosoul Concert Productions at Teatro Vallarta on November 12. The one-night show features live vocals, six musicians, eight dancers and the King of Pop’s iconic hits.
