Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Act2PV’s gorgeous and acoustically marvelous renovation of The Red Room – now named the Casa Karma Red Room – will feature a musical performance by Ensemble Paraiso on Tuesday, July 2 at 7:00 pm. The group is a spin-off of the Puerto Vallarta orchestra – Jean-Guy Comeau on piano, two flutists Andrea Jupina and Olga Martinez, and special guest vocal soloist, Kathy Overly.
Since moving to Vallarta in 1997, Kathy has enjoyed numerous performance opportunities, including Spotlight Players, Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra, Mariachi Orchestra, Santa Barbara Theater, Vocalistas, at the Guadalupe Cathedral, and more recently as a soloist with Poder Coral conducted by Aquiles Morales.
The program will span various musical genres, including the baroque of Bach and Loeillet, impressionist era music by Debussy, Faure and Gaubert, and selections from Gershwin, Broadway, opera, the movies, and pop, including Adele’s Make You Feel My Love, written by Bob Dylan.
