Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Vista Vallarta Golf Club will mark its 23rd anniversary in style with a grand tournament on November 16 and 17, welcoming around 180 golfers from across Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Known for housing two of the best golf courses in the country, the club continues to draw players seeking top-tier competition and exceptional rewards.
Participants will compete in pairs on both of the club’s signature courses. The Tom Weiskopf course offers a harmonious blend with the natural landscape, while the Jack Nicklaus course presents a more aggressive, skill-testing challenge. The tournament format will feature best score in pairs, with players selecting the superior tee shot for each hole. The top three teams in both Gross and Net categories will be recognized.
Golfers won’t just be playing for pride; the prizes include golf clubs, green fees, and luxury stays with rounds of golf at Grupo Velas and Marriott hotels. Some of the more enticing rewards include high-end watches, a US$50,000 prize, and new Mazda trucks valued at over one million pesos.
Beyond the competition, players will also have the chance to enjoy the many wonders of Puerto Vallarta. From world-class hotels and global cuisine to over 50 outdoor activities and some of Mexico’s finest spas, the city offers something for everyone before and after the tournament.
“This tournament has become a very important tradition in Puerto Vallarta,” said Homero Hernandez, General Manager of Vista Vallarta Golf Club. “It has grown year after year with more awards and sponsorships, attracting not just local talent but players from all over.”
Luis Villaseñor of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust added, “The Vista Vallarta golf courses are a major draw for golf enthusiasts. Combined with Puerto Vallarta’s luxury accommodations and top-tier services, they provide unforgettable experiences.”
As the tournament grows in size and prestige, Puerto Vallarta strengthens its reputation as a prime destination for golf tourism, cementing its appeal to players from around the world.
