Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Act2PV kicked off its highly anticipated 2024/2025 season with a thrilling Halloween night premiere, drawing a sold-out crowd to witness The Greatest Grand Opening Show on Earth! The night sparkled with captivating performances by some of Act2PV’s brightest stars, including Gloria Fiona, Stephanie Watts, Alfredo Mendoza, Yutzil Mar, Sarah Heckbert, Sargento Dan with Bing Young, David Sabella, Cate Valcic, David Maiocco, and the cast of The Best of Broadway.
The season continues to build excitement with an exciting Mexican celebration of Day of the Dead on Friday, November 1. There is also an exclusive one-night-only performance by the internationally acclaimed Renee Armand on Sunday, November 3. Known for her powerful voice and iconic collaborations with music legend John Denver, along with many others from the 60s and 70s, Armand is adored by Puerto Vallarta audiences, who eagerly anticipate her return to the Act2PV stage.
Adding to this season’s excitement, the outrageously funny duo The Vaude-Villains debuts on November 6 in the Ovations Piano Bar. Featuring the blonde bombshell singer, Cate Valcic, known for her dazzling voice and razor-sharp comebacks, alongside the sassy, sensational pianist David Maiocco, this show is a cheeky twist on classic vaudeville!
Looking ahead, the excitement continues on November 8 with the launch of the prestigious Fiesta de Cabaret, where Act2PV will welcome top cabaret stars from around the world. Fiesta de Cabaret is a 10-day cabaret festival and workshop in sunny Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Housed in the beautiful facilities of Act2PV, 10 visiting students from around the world and 6 Mexican National/Resident students will have the opportunity to work with cabaret industry professionals to refine their skills. Daily group classes, seminars, and shows by luminaries in the field, PLUS nightly opportunities to perform, make this a rare learning experience. Natalie’s heartfelt tributes to legends like Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, and Ella Fitzgerald bring new life to their timeless music, while her portrait proudly hangs on the Birdland Jazz Club Wall of Fame. Her latest album, “Back to the Garden,” is a testament to her artistry and is available alongside her other works on all major streaming platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon. In addition to her singing, Natalie shines on stage, on screen and on television. She is also a passionate educator and brings her expertise as a Master Teacher to workshops and master classes, focusing on diversity and performance. She serves as the Education Director for the Mabel Mercer Foundation, nurturing the next generation of performers. With a rich academic background in psychology, theatre, and women’s studies, Natalie creates an inclusive and inspiring environment for all. Whether through her songs, her teaching, or her performances, Natalie Douglas’s warmth and passion shine through, making every show a memorable experience.
