Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Make sure your December plans include the Puerto Vallarta Gay Men’s Chorus (PVGMC) annual holiday musical celebration. This year’s Christmas Spectacular, called “Glow,” will be presented on the Teatro Vallarta stage at 8:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019.
The PVGMC brings you the talents of gay men from Mexico, the United States, Canada and around the world. They perform choral music that entertains, enlightens and inspires, and they build bridges of understanding, acceptance and love. They are warmly embraced by the local Mexican and Ex-Pat community, as well as tourists from many cultures.
In “Glow,” their biggest concert ever, the PV Gay Men’s Chorus, accompanied by guest vocalists Amy Armstrong, Enrique de Allende, Joan Houston, Kami Desilets, Lady Zen, Mary Porter and Daniela Treviño, as well as instrumentalists from IAMPV (Instituto de Artes Musicales de Puerto Vallarta, will present a merry mixture of traditional Mexican, American, and Canadian carols.
Artistic Director Derek Carkner explains that this heart-warming concert includes some well-known songs such as “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “Duermete”, “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear”, “Away in a Manger” and “Noche de Paz”, as well as other noteworthy songs: “Fun, Fun, Fun”, “Hard Candy Christmas”, “Little Saint Nick”, and “Ocho Kandelikas” (a Hanukkah song in Ladino) and the title song “Glow.”

Tickets, which range in price from $220-550 Pesos depending on seat location, are available online and at the Teatro Vallarta box office, located at Uruguay 184, Colonia 5 de Diciembre, in downtown Puerto Vallarta.
