Cheko Ruiz is a musical artist and winner of the best Latin album at the Independent music awards and has also been nominated for best song writer (composer) in the John Lennon Contest. His band was born from their members’ desire to reach the best level of musical performance. Combining 8 members of Vallarta’s top musical tier, Cheko Ruiz has put together a phenomenal group of accomplished musicians to deliver a spectacular musical experience for their audience. Each performer brings a unique and delicate approach to mixing Latin Rhythm, Flamenco and Gypsy style.
As one of Vallarta’s most musically accomplished groups, Cheko Ruiz and The Big Band also communicate a raw and edgy feel in their music. They play in sync with each other, all the while, adding an element of improv to their playing.

You can feel confident that The Palm Cabaret has adopted new measures to ensure your safety during this uncertain time. They have installed a new retractable roof for air flow. There has also been a new filter air system installed to take old air out and bring fresh air in. Customers will have Plexiglas in front and on the sides of them. There will be a 60 person capacity (not 130) and masks will be worn to the seats and to the restrooms. Upon entering your Plexiglas area masks can be removed.
