Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Since pre-Columbian times, Mexicans have regarded friendship very highly, considering it a precious gift of life. In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, which is The Day of Love & Friendship in Mexico, the Puerto Vallarta International Friendship Club (IFC) is holding a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for local charities.
Everyone is invited to extend a helping hand in international friendship by buying a 50/50 donation raffle ticket (or two!), to benefit local food banks and community service providers that the IFC has already vetted, which include, but is not limited to, the following:
• IFC Nutrition Program
• Vallarta Abuelos Food Bank
• Nutrition for Families of Children with Cancer
• The Vallarta Food Bank
Raffle tickets are on sale now via PayPal on the IFC’s website, or in person (pesos only) at the IFC office, located at the northeast corner of the Rio Cuale Bridge above the HSBC Bank, during office hours, which are currently Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Raffle Tickets / Donations:
1 Ticket – $500 Pesos / (About $26 USD)
5 Tickets – $2000 Pesos / (About $106 USD)
Bakers Dozen (13 tickets) – $4000 Pesos / (About $212 USD)
For each ticket you purchase, the IFC will enter your email address on a voucher and enter it into the drawing basket. If you purchase multiple tickets, a separate voucher will be entered for each ticket purchased. The email address associated with your PayPal purchase will be used to notify winners.
The drawing will be broadcast via live stream on Sunday, February 14 at 1:00 pm Central Time; ticket holders will be sent a link to view the live stream drawing online.
Once the winning tickets have been drawn:
50% of the total funds collected will be distributed to IFC charities by March 15.
25% of total will go to the First Prize Winner
15% of total will go to the Second Prize Winner
10% of total will go to the Third Prize Winner
You don’t have to be a member of the IFC to participate in the International Friendship Day raffle. You just need to know that you will be supporting the Puerto Vallarta children and families that need it most in these trying times. Click HERE to see the full list of charities that the IFC serves.
The International Friendship Club is a registered charitable organization in Mexico, listed as Club Internacional de la Amistad de Puerto Vallarta AC.
