Puerto Vallarta Has a Shining New Star!
Marc Lopez exploded onto the Puerto Vallarta entertainment scene recently from Mexico City, and is now a certified star! On January 14, he opened his Tuesday evening show, “Crooners and Legends,” featuring the music of Frankie Valli, Michael Bublé, the Jersey Boys, and many other favorite performers of the past, and everyone has been talking about his incredible talent, and amazing 5-STAR reviews are coming in!
This young man, with his charismatic personality and stunning good looks, is the perfect “vehicle” for this genre of music. His voice is crystal clear and powerful, and his high notes (a la Frankie Valli) brought chills to the audience.
Also featuring the beautiful Ximena Pena Esparza and Miana Melendrez as backup singers and dancers, Marc’s show is high energy from start to finish. He demonstrated incredible showmanship as he sang and danced his way across the stage, and the standing ovations he received were well-deserved. Marc is a newcomer to Puerto Vallarta, but is originally from Sonora. He is a professional singer that has been performing in the most exclusive bars of Guadalajara, San Luis Potosí and México City for many years, as well as important private events all around México and the United States.

Act2PV is beyond excited to welcome Broadway star Daniel LeClaire to The Red Room stage. Daniel has many credits, including his recent portrayal of “Elder Smith” in Broadway’s Book of Mormon, “Fender” in Hollywood Bowl’s Hairspray, and as a singer/dancer in Betty Smith’s 90th: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl on NBC.
LeClaire is a singer/songwriter/actor/dancer who will cover some of the greatest popular hits over the decades. He is a highly respected Jazz/Pop/Soul recording artist currently residing in New York City. After appearing in The Book of Mormon he set off to St. Louis and opened a speakeasy, quickly finding his place in the Jazz community.
Daniel currently stars in the heart-throb Boy Band Project, (premiering February 2 in The Red Room) and has shared the stage with Mary Tyler Moore, Nick Jonas, John Stamos, All American Rejects, Amy Poehler, Carol Burnett, Wayne Newton and many more. He has performed at world-renowned venues, such as The Kennedy Center, Fabulous Fox and Place des Arts, but is really looking forward to bringing his show to Act2PV.

The story revolves around Sophie, a 20-year old bride, who is planning to get married in a little hotel on a Greek island where she has worked with her single mother, Donna, her whole life. Unbeknownst to Donna, Sophie has longed to find the father she has never known.
After accidentally finding and reading her mother’s diary, she finds clues that point to three lovers from her mom’s “free-spirited” past that “might” be her father. Sophie secretly invites all three of these men to her wedding, and hilarity ensues! This delightful story features lots of nostalgic singing and dancing, as well as a HUGE cast, a creative and colorful set design, beautiful, custom-created costumes, and brilliant choreography.

“AVENUE Q”

AVENUE Q is a delightful, laugh-out-loud American musical that was performed on Broadway from 2003 to 2019. Filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score (not to mention the use of full-size puppets that are animated by unconcealed human puppeteers), Avenue Q is a truly unique show that has quickly become a favorite for audiences everywhere!
Although the show addresses humorous adult issues… (puppet sex!)… and is not recommended for children, it is actually very similar to a “well-known children’s television show” where puppets are friends. Audiences everywhere have been captivated by this fresh and funny story, and it won the prestigious 2004 “Triple Crown” for Tony Awards… Best Music, Best Score and Best Book! During its 6-month run at Act2PV three years ago, almost every show was sold out!
The story of AVENUE Q takes place in New York City and the street is Avenue Q, the only address a person can afford when they’re fresh out of college, out of a job, or just trying to find their purpose in life. It is a coming-of-age parable that satirizes the issues and anxieties of entering adulthood.
