David Sabella, an internationally renowned countertenor and winner of the 1995 Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, has mesmerized audiences on opera stages across the globe. Best known for his 10-year run as “Mary Sunshine” in the 1996 Broadway revival of Chicago, Sabella’s incredible 4-octave vocal range is a true marvel. In addition to his distinguished performance career, he is a highly respected music teacher, vocal coach, and author of So You Want to Sing Cabaret. With a repertoire featuring works by Caccini, Handel, Gluck, Kern, Mahler, and more, Sabella delivers a performance that’s pure ear candy, delighting the senses with every note.
David Maiocco, an internationally trained actor, singer, and celebrated Liberace tribute artist, brings a delightful mix of humor and virtuosity to the stage. A classically trained pianist from the Boston and New England Conservatories of Music, Maiocco delivers a comic yet brilliant take on history’s greatest composers. His performances range from the serious to the playful, covering everything from Beethoven to Chopin, Liszt to Liberace, and beyond.

In class, students have the chance to perform a song accompanied by the incredible pianist, David Maiocco, receiving invaluable feedback from David Sabella. David provides tailored advice on vocal production and how to convey the song’s message, focusing on vocal power, proper breathing techniques, and emotional expression.
David Sabella, renowned for his role in the Broadway revival of Chicago, shares his extensive experience in music theater and contemporary commercial music voice technique. This workshop offers an exceptional opportunity for young performers to learn from one of the best in the field. Participants will delve into proper singing techniques, various aspects of vocal performance, and receive personalized guidance. Whether you’re a newcomer to the performing arts or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is both educational and inspiring.
