Celebrate Día de Muertos Weekend at Nacho Daddy

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – From honoring Mexican traditions through music to dressing up for Halloween and celebrating 18 years in Puerto Vallarta, Nacho Daddy has plenty of reasons to bring friends together this week.

In Mexico, Día de Muertos is a time to remember loved ones, celebrate their lives, and keep family traditions alive. Nacho Daddy will honor that spirit with a weekend of music that pays tribute to the country’s cultural roots.

On Thursday, October 29, at 7:30 pm, Brenda Gaviño returns to Nacho Daddy for her special Día de Muertos concert. The traditional Mexican music singer invites guests to share an evening of heartfelt songs, cultural traditions, and remembrance. The celebration reflects the blending of Indigenous Mexican and Spanish influences that helped shape Día de Muertos, offering a special opportunity to honor ancestors and remember those who are no longer here. Tickets are available at Nacho Daddy or online via eventbrite.

Then, on Saturday, October 31, it’s time to celebrate Nacho Daddy’s 18th Anniversary and Halloween Party. The fun begins at 7:30 pm, with no cover charge. The Texas Embassy Blues Band and a special guest will provide the music, while food specials and themed drinks add to the festivities. Guests are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costumes and join the contest for a chance to win prizes. After 18 years of Halloween celebrations in Puerto Vallarta, Nacho Daddy is ready for another memorable night.

For those who enjoy music that speaks straight to the heart, Fado with Ale Matus y Dabit Azonfeia returns for a second season. The performance takes place at 5:00 pm on November 1 and offers an intimate introduction to Fado, Portugal’s traditional folk music, known for its emotional blend of longing, romance, passion, and nostalgia.

Presented by the artistic company Tromba Vetusta, the show features the remarkable voice of Alejandra Matus, accompanied by talented musicians on violin, guitar, and accordion. The program celebrates the music of acclaimed Portuguese artists and composers, including Amália Rodrigues, Mariza, and Madredeus. It’s an evening designed for listening, feeling, and getting swept up in the stories behind the songs. Tickets are available at Nacho Daddy or online via eventbrite.

Live music is a regular part of the fun at Nacho Daddy, too. Every Friday, The Texas Embassy Blues Band takes the stage in the upstairs, air-conditioned theater from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. The band has been a favorite on the local music scene for 18 years, and there’s no cover charge to enjoy its weekly performance.

Downstairs, guests can settle in for a meal, meet friends for drinks, or catch a game on any of the eight large televisions. Weekday happy hour runs from 4 to 6 pm, making it an easy stop for an afternoon break or an evening out.

With special concerts, familiar musical favorites, good food, and plenty of reasons to celebrate, Nacho Daddy offers something for everyone this Día de Muertos and Halloween weekend. Whether you come to honor Mexican traditions, enjoy Portuguese music, dance to the blues, or show off a creative costume, everyone is invited to join the fun.
