Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – On April 20, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, families and nature lovers are invited to celebrate Easter in a truly unforgettable setting – the Vallarta Botanical Garden.

Tucked away in the hills just outside Puerto Vallarta, this natural treasure offers a perfect escape from the ordinary. Recognized as a Natural Protected Area by Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Development, the Garden is a living showcase of the region’s native plants and breathtaking beauty.

Every spring, the Garden comes alive with dazzling colors and rich textures. Visitors can stroll peaceful jungle paths, explore the Orchid Conservatory, and admire a world of exotic plants – from delicate orchids and bright anthuriums to the striking agave. There’s even a chance to see vanilla orchids, cacao, and coffee plants up close.

This year’s Easter celebration promises fun for the whole family with a lineup of festive activities:

  • 11:00 am – Easter Egg Hunt: Kids can search for hidden treasures throughout the lush gardens. Don’t forget to bring a basket!
  • 12:00 pm – Egg Decorating Workshop: Unleash your creativity and design your own Easter eggs using a variety of colorful techniques.
  • Pony Rides for Children: Young visitors can enjoy a gentle pony ride surrounded by the beauty of nature.
  • 1:00 pm – Easter Bonnet & Floral Wreath Contest: Show off your most creative Easter bonnet or floral wreath for a chance to win a special prize.

All activities are included with the standard Garden admission of $300 pesos per adult or $150 for children ages 5-10, while members enjoy free entry.

More than just a place to visit, the Vallarta Botanical Garden offers an Easter experience filled with joy, tradition, and natural wonder. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season in one of Puerto Vallarta’s most beautiful settings.

Visit the internationally famous Vallarta Botanical Garden located just 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200 and easily accessible by public transportation and taxi. This 135 hectares wildlife preserve and botanical garden have something fun for everyone. Over 200 species of birds have been observed on the Garden’s grounds. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the jungle river. See plantings of vanilla, chocolate, and hundreds of other botanical delights! Authentic Mexican Cuisine is served in the Hacienda de Oro Restaurant from 10 am to 5 pm. The Garden is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm (closed Mondays from April 1 to December 1).
