San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico – Circo de Los Niños de San Pancho (Children’s Circus of San Pancho), a non-profit organization designed to encourage artistic, technical and personal development of local children through various circus and dance disciplines, will present their new show from March 22nd through 25th at 7:30 pm in the Circo Bodega in San Francisco, Nayarit (aka San Pancho.)
The project initiated in 2011 when Gilles flew in a team of professionals to work with and train the children of San Pancho in various circus and dance disciplines. Today, it is a non-profit organization that supports the development of children from 8 to 17 years old. Through circus arts and techniques, the children build confidence, focus, determination and physical capacities.
Each year, Circo de Los Niños presents a new theatrical show with colorful costumes, sets, lighting and projections, along with music and choreography that demonstrates the powerful creative and collective outcome of this unique community project – and the extraordinary talents of these young acrobats.
These performances allow the non-profit to raise funds for their ongoing projects, and the local children who will be performing in this year’s production, titled “TE AMO” are very excited.
This show is centered around a character who tries to write a love letter, but can’t find the right words to express what he wants to say, but keeps trying to find the inspiration he needs to write to his beloved. Suddenly dawn takes him by surprise. The sun caresses with its rays everything in its path, starting a new day. Existence itself is a manifestation of love in its different forms and nuances. Between jumps, acrobatics and aerial dances, the character finally finds the words and inspiration that he was looking for to finish his love letter. “VIDA TE AMO”.
There won’t be any spoken words, or very few, instead evocation and pantomime, along with various technics of circus art, colorful costumes, make up, projections and lavish lighting, will carry the story. Graceful acrobatic ensembles, daring feats, and music add drama and intensity to the performances, which are sure to charm spectators of all ages.
We hope you will attend one (or all!) of the 2023 performances. Tickets are $600 pesos (general seating) and $2500 pesos for Dream Catcher Fund Benefactors’ preferred seating. Tiered bleachers for seating ensures that every guest has a great view.
These benefit performances support the ongoing activities of Circo de los Niños, and the Dream Catcher Sponsors contribute annually to help Circo de los Niños de San Pancho sustain its programs and keeps fees accessible for the 150 families enrolled in the program.
