Covid Vaccination Clinics in Puerto Vallarta Jan 31-Feb 3

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – People in Puerto Vallarta who are 40-59 years of age and who have already received two doses of any Covid vaccine can get a booster shot of AstraZeneca from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday, January 31 through Thursday, January 3 at the La Lija Sports Unit.

AstraZeneca is the only biological the government has authorized to be the booster vaccine for this age group, so it will be the one used in Puerto Vallarta, regardless of which brand was used for the first vaccination(s).

However, it is important to note that the booster shots will only be administered to those within this age range (40-59 years) who completed their initial vaccine series (1 or 2 doses, depending on the brand) at least six months ago.

At the same time, FIRST doses will be administered to anyone 18 years of age or older who has not yet been vaccinated and SECOND doses will be given to persons 18 years of age and older who received their first dose in October and November of 2021.

It is important to emphasize that the vaccine that is being applied is AstraZeneca, no matter if it is the first dose for stragglers of legal age who have not yet been vaccinated, the second shot for those 18 and over who received their first vaccine in October, or the booster shot for adults ages 40-59.

The vaccines will only be available at the La Lija module, which will be open daily from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, or until the supply has been exhausted.

Requirements include a new copy of the registration form, proof of your first vaccine(s), an official ID and proof of residence. Registration forms can be obtained at the federal mivacuna.salud.gob.mx website.

The La Lija Sports Unit is located at Pablo Franco #1000, Col. Lomas del Coapinole. (Click HERE for Google map.)
