Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – February at Act2PV has been such a joy! The Golden Age of Vallarta Theater has finally returned! It’s exciting to see people returning to Act2PV, many of whom have been gone for almost two years. Every evening, people reconnect with their friends and there’s been shouts of joy and lots of “elbow bumps” going around!
Owner/host, Danny Mininni, is also enjoying people’s reactions to the beautiful, new OUTDOOR Starlight Cabaret! People are loving Puerto Vallarta’s only outdoor theater, where they can experience an extra layer of safety AND see some of the best shows in town.
There are many wonderful shows being presented in the Starlight Cabaret, including the Queen of Puerto Vallarta, Diana Villamonte, in her new Tina Turner show; Classic Motown, featuring Kevin Anthony II, Joi Carter & Lauren J Stovall; Jersey Boys, featuring Marc Lopez and his 3 talented singers; It’s Raining Men, featuring six sexy dancers and International Headliner, Joi Carter; and Supreme, which has been selling out every week… and many more.
There are also many fabulous shows in both of Act2PV’s indoor theaters – The Main Stage and The Red Room. (Act2PV continues to use their “fancy-shmancy” gadgets working to keep the air clean in the indoor theaters and Act2PV is observing all government-required Covid protocols.) Mamma Mia! has been extended through at least the end of February, and The Best of Broadway continues to perform to sold out houses!

SELENA, The Show
Opening Wednesday, February 23 at 6:00 pm
Act2PV welcomes the beautiful Losanna Diaz Avila to its stage as she presents a show dedicated to one of Mexico’s favorite artists, Selena! Selena was born in the U.S., but eventually became known as the “Queen of Tejana” (a mixture of country and pop music), as well as the “Mexican Madonna,” because of her sexy clothing and fabulous dance moves. Tragically, her life was cut short when she was murdered by the president of her fan club, but her contributions to music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century. Billboard Magazine named her the top-selling Latin artist!
Losanna was born in California and has lived in Puerto Vallarta for the past 8 years, headlining as a singer at many hotels around Banderas Bay. She was a recent contestant in the Aztec Voice 2021, and has loved Selena’s music since she was a child. Thanks to the power and versatility of her voice and her tremendous charisma onstage, Losanna pays a worthy tribute to Selena, singing songs such as Missing My Baby, Bidi Bidi Bom-Bom, I’m Getting Used to You, Como la Flor… and many more (in both English and Spanish)!
