Flair Adds New Montreal-Puerto Vallarta Flights This Winter

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Montrealers looking to trade snow boots for flip-flops this coming winter just got a convenient new escape route. Flair Airlines is launching a new direct service from Montreal (YUL) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR), opening up a hassle-free route straight to Mexico’s Pacific coast.

Starting December 16, the ultra-low-cost carrier will operate nonstop flights between the two cities every Wednesday through March 31, 2027. Using 189-passenger Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the seasonal route will add more than 3,000 extra seats into the market, giving Quebec travelers a budget-friendly way to hit the beach during the coldest months of the year.

The addition makes Montreal the fifth Canadian city where Flair flies directly into Puerto Vallarta. The airline already maintains a steady presence across the country, running nine weekly flights out of Vancouver, four from Toronto, three from Calgary, and three from Edmonton.

The expansion lines up smoothly with rising demand. According to a 2026 report by online travel agency FlightHub, which tracked national booking trends from late 2025 through mid-2026, Puerto Vallarta landed at #8 on the list of top 10 international spots booked by Canadians.

Travelers looking for a complete package can also book through Flair Vacations, the airline’s newly launched tour operator division. The service bundle pairs Flair flights with resort stays across key sun spots, including Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, and their newest addition, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

Nicole Bursey, president of Flair Vacations, emphasized that the operator aims to work closely with travel advisors to deliver reliable, high-value getaways to popular regional resorts that Canadians already know and trust.

With weekly flights locked in for the upcoming winter season, getting from the chilly streets of Quebec to the sunny shores of Jalisco is about to get a whole lot simpler.
