Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The International Friendship Club’s (IFC) 2024 Día de la Amistad / Valentine’s Day 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser culminated with total ticket sales of $148,000 pesos which exceeded this year’s goal of $120,000 pesos. They conducted a live drawing at the IFC clubhouse on Valentine’s Day which resulted in $74,000 pesos in prize money being distributed to three lucky winners.
1st PRIZE of $37,000 pesos went to Zelda from Butler, Pennsylvania stating “The IFC supports many wonderful charities and I will always help support them”.
2nd PRIZE of $22,200 pesos went to Tim Hainds from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who said “I am happy to be part of the IFC efforts supporting local charities”.
3rd PRIZE of $14,800 pesos went to Gary Nichol from Kingston, Ontario, Canada saying “I find it rewarding…to give back something to the community”.
Through the generosity of this year’s raffle winners, a sizable amount of their prize money has been donated back to the IFC for which they are extremely grateful. This brings the total amount generated for charity from the 2024 raffle fundraiser to $97,500 pesos all of which will go to IFC charitable giving programs.
The International Friendship Club is a registered charitable organization in Mexico with over one hundred members, who work to fund cleft palate surgeries and several charities. Some, but by no means all, of the charities that IFC supports with financial and material donations include the Volcanes Community Education Project, SETAC (HIV education and prevention and baby formula to moms who are HIV positive), Salvation Army (food for impoverished families), CANICA (supplies and support of children with cancer), Pasitos de Luz (day care for severely handicapped children), Corazón de Niña (Orphanage) and I AM PV Music Association (provides instruction in jazz and classical music to children). In all the IFC supports over 20 programs and charities and the help that it gives improves the lives of countless children in Puerto Vallarta.
