Jalisco Producing Honey for Export

Guadalajara, Mexico – Last year, Jalisco positioned itself as one of Mexico’s most important states for the production and exportation of honey. According to a preliminary report by the federal Ministry of Agriculture, from January to November 2020, international sales of honey reached 26,077 tons, equivalent to $65,373,000 dollars.

With this data, Mexico ranks as the third largest exporter of the product, which stands out for its quality and flavor, and in addition to Jalisco, where 5,703 tons were produced, the states of Yucatán, Campeche, Veracruz and Chiapas closed 2020 with good numbers.
