Puerto Vallarta, México – When Davina Divine sashays onto the What A Drag! stage in 2026, she’ll be bringing more than drama – she’ll be bringing heart, humor, and a whole lot of Vallarta soul. Behind the lashes and heels is David Abiram Sánchez Pérez, born and raised in Mexico City and now proudly calling Puerto Vallarta home. For David, this city isn’t just where he lives – it’s where his life unfolds, where community matters, and where giving back feels personal.
By day, David is a psychologist, trained to navigate emotions, transformation, and the stories we tell ourselves. Outside of work, he loves dancing, swimming, and embracing Vallarta’s beachside rhythm. He joined What A Drag because giving back to the community he calls home truly matters to him. What excites him most is the chance to do something wildly different – playful, theatrical, and a little daring. What makes him a little nervous? The performance. Because Davina Divine doesn’t believe in halfway – only fabulous or nothing.

Helping Davina Divine find her sparkle is her Fairy Drag Mother, Spencer Daily, whose own life has been anything but one-note. Born in Memphis and raised in Central Texas, Spencer spent 25 years vacationing in Puerto Vallarta before finally making it home for good more than three years ago. A retired audiologist, Spencer has turned his focus toward music, singing country western favorites at Texas Tuesdays at La Catrina Cantina and other venues around town. A two-year What A Drag veteran, Spencer loves the beautiful mix of locals and expats who come together each year – all united by creativity, generosity, and a great cause. His mentorship blends encouragement, experience, and just the right amount of stage-side calm.

Bringing Davina Divine’s look to life is Poly Muñoz, one of Vallarta’s most beloved beauty pros and a true What A Drag institution. Born in Santiago Tuxtla, Veracruz, Poly has lived in Puerto Vallarta for 28 years and has spent 18 of them transforming faces – and confidence – at Studio de Belleza Poly Muñoz, her own business. Known for fun, bold, and expressive makeup, Poly believes beauty is about helping people show a version of themselves that feels exciting and authentic. With an incredible 12 years working with What A Drag, she brings experience, pride, and joy to every transformation – and she wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Supporting Davina Divine’s journey to the spotlight is proud Diva Sponsor Tropicasa Realty, helping make the magic happen while standing firmly behind a cause that changes lives.
Together, David, Spencer, Poly, and Tropicasa capture exactly what What A Drag is all about: stepping outside your comfort zone, lifting each other up, laughing a lot, and using creativity to make a real difference in the community we all love.
