October 19 Update: The opening day for the new Sabores Locales Market has been postponed. Stay tuned for more details.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – A new farmers’ market, Sabores Locales (Local Flavors), is set to open in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone on November 3, 2024. The market, organized by the Zona Romántica Residents’ Association, will feature a diverse selection of locally produced goods.
Shoppers can expect to find fresh fruits and vegetables from family gardens, organic coffee, homemade prepared foods, and unique handicrafts. The market will also offer an opportunity to meet and interact with local artists and artisans.
To ensure the authenticity of the products, only direct producers and manufacturers are allowed to participate. Resellers are not permitted. The market will be held every Sunday from November 3, 2024, to April 2025, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Lázaro Cárdenas Park.
The Local Flavors market aims to create a space where producers and consumers can connect directly. This approach is expected to benefit both parties by offering fair prices and high-quality products. Additionally, the market will promote the local economy by providing a platform for Puerto Vallarta-based businesses.
Through this initiative, the Zona Romántica Residents’ Association demonstrates its commitment to the community by supporting local producers and contributing to the overall well-being of the Banderas Bay region.
