Kitty Bingo: We start this season of BINGO on Wednesday, November 13 at Nacho Daddy on Basilio Badillo in Old Town! Cards will go on sale and games start at 4:00. It’s still only $200 pesos for 4 cards good for all 8 games! Plus we’ll have a 50/50 Raffle. The next games will be on Nov 27, Dec 11 and then Jan 8 and continuing every other Wednesday through April.

Garage Sale: Everyone wants to know when! The date is set for Saturday, December 7. Gates will open at 9:00. We’re now collecting donated items at Gaviotas 143, Marina Vallarta or email us at donate(at)purrproject.com to make arrangements if you need items picked up. Remember, ones man’s trash is another man’s treasure so start getting rid of that “stuff” you no longer need! We can use just about anything: small appliances, jewelry, toys, towels, kitchenware, artwork, gently used clothing, shoes, sports equipment & office supplies.

SHELTER UPDATE

We made it through October with no floods or other disasters and we are definitely looking forward to cooler weather! Though a lot of people were on vacation, we always had enough volunteers to drive the vet out there and either give her assistance or spend time with the many kittens in the nursery. They love having a person to climb on! If you have Thursdays free and want to join us, contact Linda at info(at)purrproject.com for details. Having a car is a plus!

FEATURED FELINE

Gamaki was abandoned at the shelter in early June and is now about six months old… a teenager in our cat world! She has beautiful, soft long fur, green eyes, pink nose and a shorter tail than normal. If you are interested in meeting Gamaki or any of the older kitties in the PuRR nursery, contact Bama at adopt(at)purrproject.com for information. And don’t forget we bring adorable, adoptable, kittens to PetCo every weekend!

DONATING IDEAS

An RMD is the amount of money that you must withdraw from nearly all types of tax-deferred retirement accounts each year once you hit a certain age. What many retirees don’t know is that they can donate all, or a portion of, their required minimum distribution directly to charity. It’s called a qualified charitable distribution or QCD. In addition to the benefits of giving to PURR PROJECT USA, INC, the amount donated is excluded from your taxable income! A win-win situation!

GRACIAS! THANKS! MERCI! DANKE! ARIGATO!

Thanks to Richard & Tara Robertson for another very generous donation and also to Sharon Sable and Marilyn Marshman for your recent donations!

As always, we are grateful for those monthly donors who are so essential to our success: The McCullough Family Gift Fund, Gary Phillips, Sharon & Ken Rose, Terri & Gray Levy, Joanne Bryla, Trisha Aljoe, Pat & Sandy Glenn, Catherine Goglia & Jim Shoemaker, Karen & Walt Trolson, Jerry Petrizzo, Heidi Benedict, Timothy Oleno, Larry Sherwood, Mary & Bob Fitzgerald, Robert Weed, David Flannery, Elizabeth Fuerherm, Janice North and Thomas Bleuer.

If you would like to make a donation you can get all the information on our website.
