Puerto Vallarta's Fiestas Patrias are in full swing with a full schedule of events and traditions bringing the community together to honor the people and events that shaped Mexico. The biggest celebrations take place on September 15, the eve of Independence Day.

Puerto Vallarta’s Isabel Medina Acevedo has been named Miss Intercontinental Jalisco 2026. The 27-year-old social worker and model is preparing for October’s national competition in Querétaro, where she will fight for the chance to represent Mexico in Egypt.

Puerto Vallarta will host Celebrando Nuestras Raíces from September 14–20, 2026, at the Cuale Cultural Center Esplanade. Running daily from 2:00 to 10:00 pm with free admission, this seven-day festival features food, workshops, dances and live performances.
