Puerto Vallarta is taking another step toward strengthening its local security forces with a fresh wave of resources for city streets. In a recent official ceremony, Mayor Luis Munguía handed over five brand-new pickup truck patrol vehicles to the Municipal Police Station, alongside essential uniforms and tactical equipment for active officers.
The latest vehicles add to the 35 patrol units provided by the municipal government in June. By expanding the fleet, city officials aim to shorten response times, boost operational presence, and cover more ground during routine daily shifts.
Beyond adding wheels on the ground, the city focused on the day-to-day needs of the force itself. Upgraded gear and new uniforms were distributed to help improve working conditions for officers stationed throughout the city. During the event, Mayor Munguía emphasized that equipping law enforcement with modern tools is a core priority for his team, reiterating his administration’s commitment to supporting the men and women on the front lines.
As one of Mexico’s premier coastal destinations, keeping neighborhoods and public areas safe remains a top economic and civic goal. These newly assigned pickup trucks will immediately join active surveillance routes, reinforcing preventive patrols across different sectors to ensure both residents and visitors feel secure.
