Puerto Vallarta Citizen Security Prioritizing Neighborhood Safety

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta Citizen Security Police Station is prioritizing neighborhood safety through ongoing prevention efforts. To achieve a secure city, they are continuously implementing various actions.

Their strategy involves the Tactical Operations Group (GOT) conducting street patrols and monitoring shopping malls, banks and ATMs, and self-service stores around the clock.

During the day, patrols are deployed on the main avenues, covering the city from end to end. In addition, patrols are carried out in shopping center and bank parking lots, and foot patrols are conducted in areas where vehicles cannot access.

Daytime patrols cover the city’s main avenues and shopping center parking lots, with additional foot patrols where vehicles cannot access. Night shifts collaborate with sector patrols to focus on high-crime areas. For 24-hour convenience stores, officers make frequent visits and sometimes use their parking lots as their base.

In commercial zones like Pitillal Centro, Emiliano Zapata, Olas Altas, Versalles, and Ixtapa, they increase patrols and work with merchants to ensure quick response times. Additionally, they are working with merchants to ensure rapid response times and prevent criminal activity.

Following the instructions of Commissioner Rigoberto Flores Parra and Deputy Director of Operations Carlos Humberto Arce Villaseñor, these actions will continue and new strategies will be sought to increase security in the municipality.

Collaboration between authorities and citizens is essential to maintaining peace and order in Puerto Vallarta.
