Vallarta Hotels Optimistic for Strong Winter Season

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – As Puerto Vallarta gears up for the winter tourism season, the local hotel sector is optimistic about a strong finish to 2024 and an even brighter start to 2025.

Álvaro Garciarce Monraz, president of the Association of Hotels and Motels, highlighted a “good recovery” in recent months and shared that expectations are looking positive. “We see a very interesting outlook for the rest of the year,” Garciarce Monraz stated.

Despite the challenges faced earlier this year, Garciarce Monraz emphasized the resilience of Puerto Vallarta, along with other global and regional tourist destinations, particularly in Jalisco and Mexico. He noted that October has already shown signs of recovery, with strong reservations in place for November and December, indicating a robust winter season ahead.

Looking forward to 2025, Garciarce Monraz expressed confidence in surpassing this year’s targets through collaborative efforts and focused tourism promotion for Puerto Vallarta and Jalisco. “With joint work, we can boost demand and tourist participation in our destination,” he added.

According to the Jalisco tourism secretariat, Puerto Vallarta welcomed over 2.6 million tourists in the first half of 2024, and that figure is expected to double by year’s end, reflecting the city’s growing appeal as a top tourist destination.
