Puerto Vallarta mayor-elect, Luis Munguía, recently traveled to Boulder, Colorado, to foster international relations. During his visit, Munguía met with Boulder Mayor Aaron Brockett and toured local facilities, including the fire station and city hall.
A primary goal of the trip was to secure a donation of specialized equipment from the Boulder Fire Department to enhance Puerto Vallarta’s emergency response capabilities. This equipment will bolster the city’s ability to handle crises.
Furthermore, Munguía initiated a sister city relationship between Boulder and Puerto Vallarta. This partnership aims to facilitate knowledge sharing in areas such as public safety, infrastructure, and urban development.
Accompanied by city councilman-elect Christian Bravo Carbajal, Munguía and his team explored potential models for Puerto Vallarta’s development based on Boulder’s successful projects. Both cities expressed a mutual commitment to strengthening international cooperation.
Munguía emphasized his vision for a safer, more developed Puerto Vallarta, incorporating global best practices into the city’s modernization efforts.
