A Vacation that Combines World-Class Golf with Stunning Beaches

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is actively promoting itself as a multi-faceted tourist destination catering to various interests, including families, adults-only travelers, luxury seekers, romance, golf, meetings, medical tourism, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Golf tourism has emerged as a significant area of focus. With four world-class courses within the city and eleven in the greater metropolitan area, Puerto Vallarta has become a popular beach destination for golfers. These courses were designed by renowned figures such as Joe Finger, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, and Greg Norman, all former professional golfers with distinguished design careers.

“Puerto Vallarta has undeniably established itself as a leading golf destination in Mexico,” stated Luis Villaseñor, director of the Municipal Tourism Trust. “Hosting the PGA Tour’s Mexico Open at Vidanta for three consecutive years is a testament to this, allowing us to witness professional golf at its finest.”

Beyond golf, Puerto Vallarta offers a wealth of attractions and high-quality tourist infrastructure. Visitors can enjoy stunning beaches, verdant mountains, luxurious hotels, traditional architecture, over 2,000 restaurants, numerous art galleries, and a variety of free outdoor activities for families. This combination of offerings cements Puerto Vallarta’s position as one of the most comprehensive tourist destinations in the country.

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust actively promotes these advantages in the United States. In March, they participated in the AG Dallas Golf Expo, showcasing the destination and its courses to over 5,000 attendees. Grupo Velas joined the delegation, promoting their Puerto Vallarta properties with all-inclusive packages combining hotel stays and rounds of golf at Vista Vallarta and Marina Vallarta courses.

Additionally, the Trust highlighted the diverse activities, attractions, restaurants, and tours available to golfers during their stay.
