Puerto Vallarta Welcomes Buen Fin: Big Deals and Local Shopping

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas are gearing up for the 14th edition of Buen Fin, Mexico’s highly anticipated shopping event, running from November 15th through 18th.

Known as the nation’s biggest shopping weekend, Buen Fin brings remarkable discounts to locals and visitors alike, with businesses in the region actively preparing for increased traffic and sales. At a recent press conference, business leaders and authorities shared insights into this year’s event, encouraging responsible and informed shopping.

This year, Buen Fin introduces a new digital platform, led by Carlo Iván Gómez, Concanaco Servytur’s national vice president for small business support, allowing entrepreneurs to participate and promote discounts online. This platform aims to streamline access to local deals, making it easier for small business owners to engage customers directly. So far, 850 businesses in Puerto Vallarta and 450 in Bahía de Banderas are registered, with a goal to surpass last year’s total of 1,300 participants across the region.

As online shopping becomes increasingly popular, Buen Fin expects continued growth in digital sales, especially for items like TVs, washing machines, and electronics. Last year, online purchases grew from 24% to 31%, and this trend is anticipated to rise even further this year.

Local authorities and business leaders are reminding participants to maintain fair pricing practices. To protect consumers, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) will oversee complaints, with local legal assistance available at 322-147-2045. Organizers also advise shoppers to read terms carefully to avoid surprises, emphasizing a smart approach to deals.

This year’s Buen Fin extends to hotels and restaurants, aligning with the long holiday weekend and boosting tourism in the region. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, November 15, with ribbon cuttings at 11:15 am at Galerías Vallarta and at 1 pm at Lago Real in Bahía de Banderas, setting the stage for a weekend of exceptional shopping and local experiences.
