Puerto Vallarta recently celebrated the grand opening of the River Park Hotel, a stunning new establishment nestled within the area’s natural beauty.
Mayor Luis Munguía joined in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, demonstrating his commitment to local businesses and the positive impact this project will have on the community. He emphasized the importance of the hotel in creating jobs and boosting Puerto Vallarta’s economy, particularly highlighting its benefits for the ejidatarios (communal land holders) of El Jorullo.
Miguel Pulido, a member of the Board of Directors, shared that the 80-million-peso, five-year development is a prime example of sustainable tourism. The River Park Hotel, part of the Canopy River Park family, blends seamlessly with its surroundings, offering guests an environmentally responsible experience.

Canopy River Park itself provides a wide array of exciting outdoor adventures. Visitors can explore the breathtaking landscape through activities like ziplining, ATV and RZR tours, horseback riding, and hiking. For thrill-seekers, rappelling and free falling are also available. The park boasts the world’s longest vehicular suspension bridge, complete with an observation platform offering panoramic mountain views.
Mayor Munguía showed his support for the investment by mentioning the recently started paving project on the road to El Jorullo, making the area more accessible. The Directorate of Economic Promotion and Tourism will also promote the hotel as the holiday season approaches.
Jalisco Tourism Secretary Michelle Friedman also attended the inauguration, reiterating her support for Puerto Vallarta and the new hotel. She pledged to continue collaborating with all sectors of the city to attract even more tourists. The River Park Hotel promises to be a valuable addition to Puerto Vallarta’s tourism offerings, combining luxury with a deep respect for the natural environment.
