Rich Jeanneau Shines as ‘Mama Rich’ in ‘What A Drag’ Fundraiser

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In a remarkable display of solidarity and camaraderie, heterosexual men are preparing for the highly-anticipated “What A Drag” event, where they will embrace dazzling drag personas in a competition for the esteemed title of “Miss What A Drag.” Beyond being a celebration of diversity and inclusiveness, the event serves as a vital fundraising platform for the Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter, a sanctuary dedicated to assisting women and children impacted by domestic violence.

Rich Jeanneau Shines as ‘Mama Rich’ in ‘What A Drag’ Fundraiser

This week’s spotlight is on Rich Jeanneau, a Real Estate consultant hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Known for his karaoke hosting and singing prowess, Jeanneau, a proud father of three and grandfather to four granddaughters, has earned recognition for his involvement in sales training through karaoke.

He proudly carries the sponsorship of Elengorn Realtors. Rich’s transformation into the captivating “Mama Rich” is guided by his Fairy Drag Mother, Al Carswell, and features styling by the talented Miss Conception. Al Carswell, renowned for portraying the lead character Sam in Act2PV‘s Mamma Mia for the past five seasons, and the fabulous Miss Conception, who dazzles audiences on Mondays and Thursdays at The Palm Cabaret, will collaborate with Rich to craft his fabulous drag persona.

Rich, who spends half the year in Puerto Vallarta with his wife Lisa, is not only participating in “What A Drag” for the thrill of competition but also to contribute to a noble cause. Rich expressed his motivation, stating, “Fundraising for such a great cause is easier dressed as a drag queen.”

The couple’s strong connection to Vallarta, spanning 12 years and culminating in the purchase of a condo seven years ago, adds a personal touch to Rich’s participation. Affectionately known as ‘Mama Rich’ in his drag persona, he humorously explained, “The opposite of papa is Mama,” showcasing the playful and creative spirit behind his chosen name.

“What A Drag” transcends being merely an evening of glitz and glamour; it is a resounding statement against domestic violence. All proceeds from the event will be channeled towards Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter, offering essential aid and refuge to those in need.
