RISE Vallarta Charity Golf Tournament

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Golfers of all skill levels are invited to participate in the RAISE for R.I.S.E. Charity Golf Tournament. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 27 at Flamingos Golf Club, this four-person team scramble promises a day of fun in the sun – for a good cause!

Built in 1978, Flamingos was the first golf course in the Vallarta area. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and palm trees, the 6,853 yard-long, par 72 championship course combines gently sloping fairways with natural lagoons, marshes and estuaries where over 100 bird species as well as crocodiles, turtles, hares, raccoons, and even several elusive deer thrive.

This fun event to raise funds for the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (R.I.S.E.) children’s shelter will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 am.

The tournament format is a 4-ball scramble. All four golfers hit their individual drives/tee shots. The best drive/tee shot is then selected and all four golfers hit their second shot from there. The process continues with all four golfers putting from the location of the best approach shot until one of the four balls is in the cup and the score is recorded.

The Cause
RISE (Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza) is a home to 30+ at risk children ranging in ages from birth to 11 years. RISE has a combination of a great staff and a team of volunteers that keep RISE running. However, through a pandemic the needs for the children do not change. RISE is funded through private donations and fundraising is a huge part of our ability to provide these children with nutritional food, education, activities clothing and so much more.
