Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – When two seasoned artists join forces, the result often transcends standard genre boundaries, creating something intimate and deeply resonant. Puerto Vallarta musician and composer Ruben Perez officially released his latest single, “Latin Love,” on October 28.
Featuring Dave Shaman, the distinctive lead vocalist of the alternative metal group Los Shamanes, the track offers a sensual, slow-burn experience driven by authentic Latin flavor and undeniable chemistry.
Perez laid down rich, inviting guitar lines that form the foundation of the piece. From the very beginning, he envisioned “Latin Love” as a collaborative project, leaving space for Shaman to bring his signature vocal presence and elevate the melody into a whole new dimension. The track captures the subtle magic of a late night, focusing on instant connection, shared spark, and the rhythm of dancing close with someone special.
For over a decade, Perez was a familiar face throughout Puerto Vallarta’s live music circuit. As a versatile professional guitarist, he performed in cover bands across hotels, bars, restaurants, and local festivals, consistently bringing his distinct touch to every performance.
A major turning point arrived in 2008 when he chose to step back from full-time performing. Shifting his focus toward writing and composing his own music allowed him to explore personal themes and create songs straight from the heart.
Although he no longer maintains a demanding schedule on stage, Perez continues to refine his craft, frequently teaming up with guest artists to bring his creative visions to life. “Latin Love” stands as a clear reflection of that ongoing dedication to narrative depth and artistic partnership. The new single is available now for streaming on all major digital platforms.
