Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – SEAPAL Vallarta is inviting runners, sports clubs, and the general public to participate in the 12th edition of its Half Marathon and the 22nd edition of the Recreational Race. The event will be held on Sunday, March 24th, concluding the commemorative activities for World Water Day 2024.
The race promotes water conservation while offering participants the opportunity to experience the scenic beauty of Puerto Vallarta’s hotel zone. The 21-kilometer Half Marathon begins at 7:00 am, followed by the 5-kilometer Recreational Race 10 minutes later.
Race registration costs 350 pesos. Participants can register online at asdeporte.com, at any Innova store nationwide, or at the Seapal Vallarta offices.
Both races feature separate categories for men and women. The Half Marathon includes Free (18-39 years old), Master (40-49 years old), Veterans (50+), and Vallartense Athlete categories. The 5-kilometer race offers Free, Master, Veterans, and Youth (up to 17 years old) categories, along with special categories for participants with disabilities (wheelchair, visual impairment, and hearing impairment).
Registration closes on Saturday, March 23rd at the Half Marathon Expo held at the La Isla Shopping Village. The expo will also distribute race kits containing a commemorative shirt, timing chip, and race number.
The race has grown significantly, with last year reaching its goal of 750 runners. This year, the maximum capacity has been increased to 850 participants.
