Third Annual Cacao Festival Coming to Puerto Vallarta in March

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Cacao Festival is set to return to Puerto Vallarta for its third edition, bringing together history, culture, and sustainability in a celebration of Mexico’s rich cocoa traditions. This highly anticipated event will take place March 6-9 at Terra Noble Art and Healing Center in Puerto Vallarta and March 14-16 in Yelapa.

With the support of the state government led by Luis Munguía, the festival aims to preserve ancestral traditions while promoting sustainable tourism and cultural identity. Organizer Alberta Snelli emphasized that the event will serve as a platform for social and cultural exchange, highlighting the significance of cocoa in Mexico’s history. It will also connect local producers and artisans, encouraging sustainable trade and showcasing the cultural heritage through gastronomy and handcrafted products.

Attendees can anticipate a stimulating program filled with insightful conferences, hands-on workshops, and captivating exhibitions led by esteemed elders of Mayan tradition. Delving into the spiritual significance of cocoa, the festival will also feature restorative healing ceremonies. Culinary enthusiasts will delight in food tastings, while those seeking unique treasures can explore a bustling market showcasing artisanal goods from across Mexico.

City officials are enthusiastically supporting the event. Councilor Marcia Bañuelos, responsible for National and International Tourism Promotion, warmly invites both locals and visitors to partake in this enriching experience. Alejandra Cornejo, Director of Economic Promotion and Tourism, affirmed the city’s support in spreading the word to attract both tourists and locals.
