Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Thomas has the heart of a traveler. He embodies the quote: “Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind.” In addition to exotic locales around the world like Machu Picchu, Athens, London, Rome, Thomas discovered Mexico.
In his travels throughout Mexico, Thomas kept coming back to Puerto Vallarta. The allure and pull of PV, which so many visitors feel, often makes some people take that exciting step, and Thomas was among them
Having first joined a popular salon in Puerto Vallarta in 2011, Thomas built a fiercely loyal clientele. With his book filling up to the point he could no longer take new clients (and do all that traveling he loves), Thomas now enjoys a thriving salon of his own, adding new services and stylists to meet the increasing demand for color, style and highlights.
In partnership with Marty Rogo, of the famed Marty’s Martini Bar in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, these two young entrepreneurs premiered the Thomas Simon Salon at Venustiano Carranza 290 in Colonia Emiliano Zapata in January 2017.
“This was a lifestyle choice for me,” explains Thomas. “I love my friends and my constant companions, Sol, Luna and Kronk, and I just love my life in Puerto Vallarta.”
