Tropicasa Vallarta Top 10 Destination 2020

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Recently, Virtuoso, a major network that encompasses over 22,000 travel agents and more than 1,100 international travel agencies that specialize in experience-based and luxury travel markets, released a list of Top 10 International Travel Destinations which was compiled through airline bookings for the 2020 holiday season.

Based on airline reservations for destinations around the world for the vacation season, which will begin on American Thanksgiving, 2020, and include Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Puerto Vallarta was the only destination in Mexico to make the list.

So why is Puerto Vallarta a top choice for travelers when global restrictions are eased? Here are just a few reasons:

• An extraordinarily strong American and Canadian dollar. The spike in both currencies, which began in early March and is projected to show longevity, means that traveling and investing in Puerto Vallarta has really never been more affordable.

• Pristine beaches. As part of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit’s efforts to keep the Banderas Bay region healthy, all beaches and the port (for recreational use) have been closed since April 1, 2020 and are currently slated to reopen on June 1, 2020. This break has done incredible things to our natural habitat and our already clean oceans and beaches have never been healthier. Seeing the change that two months of breathing space has created has inspired Vallarta and Nayarit, and ecological changes and recommendations are already being put forth to maintain this positive impact.

• Perfect weather. Puerto Vallarta has a wonderful climate year-round, with an average of 322 sunny days a year. But for many, the months between November and April are the absolute best time to visit Puerto Vallarta, with temperatures in the mid-80s during the day and ranging from 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the evenings.

Puerto Vallarta is excited to be welcoming back the world, and our restaurants, activities, tours, cultural events and more will be here waiting for you. We have worked together as a community to keep our city healthy and strong, and as we start to cautiously and slowly reopen, it is with strictly mandated sanitary guidelines to continue our path to a healthy Vallarta and a secure vacation paradise for our guests.
