Uber Flash Moto Launches in Puerto Vallarta for Easy Deliveries

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Residents of Puerto Vallarta welcomed a new level of convenience on November 21, as Uber Flash Moto officially launched, offering a fast and efficient way to send small and medium-sized items across the city. Designed to accommodate deliveries that fit in a delivery driver’s backpack, this service is available via motorcycles or bicycles, blending accessibility with innovation.

This addition aims to bolster the local economy while simplifying everyday errands. “With Uber Flash Moto, we are thinking about Puerto Vallarta’s economy. We want the people of Vallarta to have an accessible, safe, and easy-to-use option to send items, and for delivery drivers to find more and better ways to generate profits through our application,” shared Juan Pablo Eiroa, general director of mobility for Uber in Mexico.

Uber Flash Moto benefits delivery partners by expanding earning opportunities. Partners using the Uber Eats app can now handle Flash Moto trips during low-demand periods for food orders, creating a steadier stream of income, particularly as the year-end season approaches.

Eiroa emphasized the company’s mission of innovation, saying, “Uber Flash Moto is part of one of our main missions: to innovate through technology. Our idea at Uber is to provide solutions for everyday life, with the goal of becoming the application of daily use for the people of Vallarta.”

How It Works
Using Uber Flash Moto is straightforward:

  1. Open the Uber app and enter the pick-up and destination points.
  2. Select the Flash Moto option and confirm the trip.
  3. Hand over the item when the delivery driver arrives.
  4. Track the trip in real-time and share the route with the recipient.
  5. Payment is processed via the card linked to the Uber account, with optional shipping insurance available.

Items must adhere to safety guidelines, including a maximum value of 2,000 pesos and prohibition of illegal goods.

This service marks another step in Uber’s mission to integrate technology into daily life, offering Puerto Vallarta residents an innovative way to meet their delivery needs while supporting local delivery drivers.
