Vallarta Hosts National Beach Volleyball Championship June 14-16

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The 5th edition of the Puerto Vallarta National Beach Volleyball Championship returns June 14-16 at Holi Beach. The Mexican Volleyball Federation, CODE Jalisco, and the Jalisciense Volleyball Association are co-organizers.

Offering a total prize pool of 80,000 pesos, the championship features prominent players. Spectators can look forward to witnessing Olympic medalist Lombardo Ontiveros and his partner Jorman Osuna, hailing from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, showcase their talents under the guidance of legendary Olympic coach Salvador González. The Jalisco team, featuring André Rodríguez, a recent Conade Nationals medalist, will team up with Vallarta’s own Eliezer Martínez.

The women’s division promises equally exciting competition. Reigning champion María José Quintero (Sinaloa) will defend her title. International players include Colombia’s Laura Escarpeta and Claudia Galindo, and a combined team from Russia (Alexandra Poroshina) and Chihuahua (Pamela Aguirre).

Beyond the competition, the event fosters sportsmanship and cultural exchange between Mexican and international athletes. Organizers expect a large and enthusiastic audience for the high-caliber matches set against the scenic Puerto Vallarta beaches.

As emphasized by organizer Laura Almaral during a recent press conference, this is a chance to see some of the world’s best beach volleyball players in action. Don’t miss this chance to experience a weekend brimming with exhilarating competition, sun-drenched fun, and an atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of sport!
