Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Since its opening in 2005, Vallarta Botanical Garden (VBG) has won numerous international awards, and now they have once again been nominated by a panel of experts to compete against 20 of the best gardens in North America for a spot on USA Today’s ’10 Best’ list for 2022.

Just a short drive from Puerto Vallarta, the Vallarta Botanical Garden is situated 1,300 Ft above sea level in the highlands of Cabo Corrientes. In addition to exploring the 74 acres of native tropical plants and flowering trees, visitors will discover fascinating botanical collections, impressive plant conservatories, and adventurous trails through the forest preserve.
As the Banderas Bay region’s most popular living museum, the VBG also hosts a variety of family-friendly activities that aim to educate Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors on the importance of environmental stewardship and appreciation for our natural wonders.

Visit the internationally famous Vallarta Botanical Garden located just 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200 and easily accessible by public transportation and taxi. This 74 acre wildlife preserve and botanical garden have something fun for everyone. Over 200 species of birds have been observed on the Garden’s grounds.
