Puerto Mágico Plans to Open Aquarium & Butterfly Garden

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In a move to diversify tourist attractions and boost visitor numbers, Puerto Mágico shopping center will soon unveil a butterfly sanctuary and an aquarium, according to an article recently published by the Vallarta Opina.

Vicente Aguilar, the center’s manager, emphasized the economic benefits these projects bring to Puerto Vallarta. He highlighted the educational value of the butterfly sanctuary, particularly for local schoolchildren, calling it a “green museum” that takes full advantage of the maritime terminal’s unique location.

Acknowledging that the shopping center’s initial tourism levels haven’t met expectations, Aguilar outlined efforts to improve the visitor experience. This includes collaborating with the port authority to create a more streamlined and enjoyable visit for tourists. He stressed the importance of exceeding tourist expectations, leading to increased spending and overall economic benefit for the entire city.

Finally, Aguilar addressed the challenge of attracting local residents to Puerto Mágico. He emphasized that the center caters to all audiences and aims to become a popular recreational space for both tourists and locals. He encourages Vallarta residents to explore the area, traditionally only accessible to cruise ship passengers, and experience the diverse offerings alongside tourists.
