Puerto Vallarta, México – From March 10 to 12, the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center will host the 2026 edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta–Riviera Nayarit, one of the most important events for the region’s tourism industry. More than 700 tourism leaders from Mexico and around the world are expected to attend.
Over the years, the Gala has become a key meeting point for professionals promoting the destinations. This year’s event is projected to generate more than 5,000 business meetings, reaffirming its role as one of the country’s leading tourism trade gatherings.
Major international companies will take part in the event, including Expedia and Booking.com, along with global airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, WestJet, Sunwing Airlines, Air Transat, and Air Canada.

The event will also welcome hosted buyers – high-level tourism purchasers – from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, Argentina, the Netherlands, Colombia, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. Their participation helps strengthen international promotion and expand opportunities to attract travelers to the region.
According to the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, the Gala serves as a platform for building strategic alliances and encouraging investment, while also highlighting the region’s growing connectivity and tourism development.
Recent results reflect the strong performance of the destination. In 2025, Puerto Vallarta welcomed approximately 6.26 million visitors, generating an estimated economic impact of 40.9 billion pesos. Expanded air routes and new infrastructure projects have continued to support the destination’s growth.
State authorities have also confirmed that tourism operations remain normal, with infrastructure, air connectivity, and visitor services functioning without setbacks. Ongoing coordination on security and public services ensures optimal conditions for both Gala participants and visitors.
With these solid foundations, Puerto Vallarta continues to strengthen its position as one of Mexico’s most competitive tourism destinations. Events such as Gala Puerto Vallarta–Riviera Nayarit play a vital role in promoting international partnerships and generating new business opportunities across the Mexican Pacific.
