• All businesses can operate at 100 percent capacity.
• No more vaccination certificate requirement at nightlife venues.
• No more sanitizing mat or temperature checks at business entrances.
• However, the use of face masks remains a mandate in public places and within businesses.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is getting closer to operating at 100% in all its commercial establishments, including nightlife.
The health board is in session this week, and one of the points that will be raised is to allow nightlife establishments to operate at 100%, to accommodate the influx of visitors that are expected to arrive during the 2-week-long Easter vacation period.
After several weeks in which Covid-19 infections have been scarce and hospitalizations and deaths have decreased significantly, the table of specialists will analyze whether we can return to the conditions that existed before the pandemic began.
Specifically, nightlife is the one that still has some capacity restrictions, however, these could be eliminated just before the Semana Santa and Pascua holiday period, in which thousands of tourists are expected in the city.
In addition, the possibility of removing the mandatory use of face masks in open public areas is contemplated, as has already been approved in the states of Nayarit and Nuevo León.
Little by little, sanitary conditions are improving in Jalisco and this will have a positive impact on Puerto Vallarta tourism.
