Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Eagle’s Wings Foundation, known as ‘Alas de Águila’ in Mexico, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of vulnerable residents in Puerto Vallarta. On November 9, the foundation distributed $5.5 million pesos to 34 non-profit organizations in Puerto Vallarta and the greater Banderas Bay area.
Mrs. Eva Contreras, the president of the foundation, handed over the checks to María de Jesús López Delgado, the president of the Municipal DIF of Puerto Vallarta. The DIF president will distribute the funds to numerous charitable and civil associations in the Banderas Bay region that work towards improving the lives of Puerto Vallarta residents.
This year, several associations received financial support, including Ángeles en Libertad, Asilo San Juan Diego AC, Becas Vallarta AC, Clínica de Rehabilitación Vallarta Santa Barbara AC, Fundación Andrea 3.21, Fundación Síndrome de Down AC, Jay Sadler Project, Mamás Unidas por la Rehabilitación de sus Hijos AC (Pasitos de Luz), Manos de Amor por Bahía AC, Orquesta Escuela Puerto Vallarta AC, Pro-Biblioteca los Mangos AC, Red de Apoyo Salud Mental AC, Sistema DIF de Puerto Vallarta, Sociedad Animales AC and Vallarta Food Bank.
The DIF President commended the Eagle’s Wings Foundation for its vital work. She emphasized the foundation’s principles, values, and commitment, which annually support various charitable organizations in the Banderas Bay area. These organizations play a crucial role in providing care and ensuring the well-being of local families.
Expressing gratitude to the civil associations that serve Puerto Vallarta, she stated, “Thank you all very much for your altruistic work and the enthusiastic support you have always given us; often the council cannot provide the service that you provide to those in need.”
