Award-winning Documentary, ‘Searching for Capomo’ at Los Mangos

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Join us for the screening of the award-winning documentary Searching for Capomo, a film about the nutritious and medicinal tree that has sustained the indigenous peoples of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean for millennia.

This moving documentary, made by the non-profit organizations the Center for Traditional Medicine and the Center for World Indigenous Studies, in collaboration with the Yelapa Community in Jalisco, will immerse you in the fascinating world of Capomo. Explore its diverse uses and learn about the environmental challenges facing this endangered tree.

This presentation will take place as part of the Festival del Arbol at the Puerto Vallarta Public Library, Biblioteca Los Mangos, on February 24 at 10 am. At the end of the presentation, we will have a discussion with the filmmakers about the uses and customs of Capomo and other Native Trees of Puerto Vallarta and Cabo Corrientes.
