Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Candice Bernes, Unified Mindfulness teacher and breathwork practitioner from Ottawa, Canada presents her internationally-acclaimed breathwork workshop for the first time in Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta continues to grow as a mecca for souls looking to expand their understanding of how to connect oneself to one’s deep inner Self. According to Bernes, “A mindfulness practice will help you develop the skills to become increasingly aware of the expression of your heart, to abide in it and live through it.”
“Nature is the universe’s reset button for our minds, bodies and spirits,” shares Julie Guerrero, Casa Rafaela founder. “Casa Rafaela could think of no better place than the Vallarta Botanical Garden to present the first of a series of collaborative efforts with Candice Bernes and her Inhabit the Heart practice.”
Bernes continues, “There is a saying in Zen Buddhism that before you open the door, you open yourself to the door. Even if you are not an experienced practitioner there may be a part of you that understands what this means. There is a way of being with your experience that merges both you and the object so there is only experience happening, and you taste the undifferentiated peace at the heart of mindfulness. This is the practice I have named “inhabiting the heart.”
