Puerto Vallarta’s Historic Center is getting a fresh look thanks to the Pintemos Vallarta (Paint Vallarta) campaign. This initiative aims to preserve the area’s charm by ensuring a clean, orderly, and visually cohesive environment that reflects the city’s essence.
As part of the program, buckets of white paint have been distributed to tenants and residents for facade renovations, following the Puerto Vallarta Urban Development Regulations.
The guidelines specify that 70% of each facade must be painted white, while moldings and trim may feature terracotta tones. Additionally, authorized colors such as beige and two variations of brown and terracotta have been made available to maintain aesthetic consistency and highlight the city’s architectural character.
Juan Pablo Martínez, City and Historic Center Manager, emphasized that Mayor Luis Munguía has prioritized community involvement in environmental conservation. The campaign not only enhances the city’s visual appeal but also fosters a sense of pride in the city’s rich heritage and a sense of belonging among residents.
Consequently, the Pintemos Vallarta campaign will continue to thrive with the unwavering support of Luis Munguía and the Municipal Government, uniting community efforts to restore the Historic Center to its full glory.
This collaborative endeavor ensures that the area remains a captivating tourist destination and a cherished cultural treasure for generations to come.
