San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico – Entreamigos began in 2006 on a kitchen table in the middle of a San Pancho street. Today, housed in a giant warehouse recognized as a model sustainable facility, it is an active community center with classes and workshops, a scholarship program, a bilingual library for children and adults, a computer center, an extensive recycling program, a gift store and the Recicla thrift shop.
Here’s the latest news from Entreamigos:

Comunidades Regenerativas: Training for a Sustainable San Pancho
San Pancho, Nayarit faces rapid growth, putting its natural resources and social equity at risk. The lack of local training limits the implementation of sustainable technologies, worsening environmental degradation.
In response, Entreamigos, with the support of an Airbus grant, has created the Comunidades Regenerativas (“Regenerative Communities”) program, which will train residents in eco-technologies and social entrepreneurship to strengthen the local economy and promote responsible practices.
The seven-month program will offer training in bio-construction, permaculture, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism, combining theory, practice, and field activities, both in-person and online. ESMEX will collaborate in designing the program, providing tools to transform socio-environmental projects into profitable business models.
The workshops will be conducted in Spanish. So, if you speak Spanish, join this initiative and be part of the change towards a more sustainable future, where your learning and actions will contribute to the well-being of the community and the protection of our environment!

Together, Moving Towards a More Sustainable San Pancho
Thanks to the Entreamigos recycling program and the community’s commitment to separating and depositing waste correctly, on March 17th, we sent 410 kg of plastic to the Las Palmas collection center. There, it will be processed and then sent to Guadalajara, where it will be recycled, giving it new life and reducing its environmental impact. Let’s keep working together for a greener future!

2nd School Supplies Distribution for the Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program is committed to supporting the children with the distribution of school supplies twice a year, ensuring they have the tools they need to continue their education.
During this second delivery, we were happy to see some children arrive alone, while others came with their parents or fellow program participants. But all left with smiles, ready to start using their new school supplies and continue building their future.
We are always thankful to those who support the children in this program and understand that education is the foundation to achieve their dreams.
